Our Fashion Week Coverage: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Days Zurich. Opening Night

International Upcoming Fashion Filmmakers Competition

Wanna know what all the monkey business was about? Well, we participated in the International Upcoming Fashion Filmmakers Competition in Italy.  Unfortunately, we didn't win the main prize, but we placed among the best in the world.  With the help of Epic and others (Jacquelina Penza, Lea Kueng, Option Models, Erarta Gallery, Meesha Chang, Adrian Portmann, Tobias Bogart Kubli, our friends at Sharush, Carmen Cita Jones, and of course Markentussi we put together an outstanding fashion film, which we are very proud of. I spent nearly 10 hours gluing tiny Swarovski crystals on a banana for the Artistic Directing. Our film features twins Valentina and Natalja Neumeister at Option Models Zurich.  The film will be released soon.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin

We're exhausted after a full week of event coverage @Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin. Catchup Productions covered over 30 shows for Fashion One. Some of our favorite shows were Lena Hoschek, Dimitri, Michalsky, Rebekka Ruétz and Basler. What did we see trotting down the runway? Well, lots of texture, color and sheers. We're guessing this seasons colors will be Emerald, which Pantone decided will be the color for 2013. We also spotted a lot of Teal, Mustards, Metallics, Salmon, Ox-Blood, Cranberry and Fuchsia making it's way down the runway and red carpets. I'd have to say that the amount of fringe and suede was a bit over-kill. But, I was definitely excited about romper comebacks,graphic prints, boleros,faux fur, and chiffon. This season is definitely about embracing your inner lady and rocking out just a bit. Hems were longer and waists were cinched. We also got the inside hair and makeup trends from Maybelline head Makeup Artist Max Delorme and Boris Entrup Beauty Expert and Exclusive Make-up Artist with Maybelline. Boris told us that we should expect to see the smokey eye in chocolate, peachy cheeks and Emerald incorporated into make-up trends. We can't wait for London New York, Milan and Paris.
